About Gerber-Girl
After more than 3 decades working for a number of successful clothing companies in Melbourne I decided on a change of pace and started Gerber-Girl in 2010
I also currently work part time as a Gerber Lecturer - Bachelor of Fashion Design, where I pass my skills on to the next generation
And even after all of these years I still love what I do!

History
In 1985 I started my first CAD job on a Gerber AM-5 system and in the ensuing decade I progressed to Gerber Accumark
A lot has changed since 1985 but the fundamentals remain the same
My background is predominantly as a Pattern Grader, which is often a misunderstood craft. Grading involves understanding the fundamentals of pattern making, size range fittings, garment construction and the manufacturing processes. In its essence it is the critical step where a garment is taken from the design process into the reality of production
Expertise
I have extensive experience as a Pattern Grader-Pattern Maker, working on wide range of garments. Anything from lingerie to V8 racing suits and everything in between
I also have decades of experience working with local production and liaising with off shore manufacturers, providing practical help and advice, in the form of production markers, specifications and problem solving
Commitment
'You dream it, and I will make it'
